New York at Thanksgiving

The kids and I journeyed to New York for Thanksgiving break this year. It was quite an adventure and boy did we miss you Eric! All I can say is we made it! Mom took this picture to document my last trip to New York because she was pretty sure, and so was I, that after that flight I was never coming back again!
But how could I not! Our trips home are always fun and memorable. Here is a little of what we did there, including enjoying a great Thanksgiving with perfect food!

Lots of Grammy time and rest for me,

park exploration and cool weather,

household fun,

Yay Hannah won class representative!,

eating out,

keeping Julie busy,

McDonald's lunch and breakfast....while mom got some alone time to sleep and run (yay!!),

Thanksgiving crafts,

learning new games (Skylander Giants),

pirate sword fights (and one ninja turtle),

nerf gun fights with Grandma on Thanksgiving,

a lovely freezing trip to the zoo, what a nice grammy :),

meeting adorable baby cousins for the first time,

good times with many of my favorites,

decorating Christmas trees,

playing with cousins who have grown from just babies since we have seen them last,

or trying to knock them over with the weight of the decorations!,

pizza and hanging out,

baby trading and lots of playing,

Cora and I :) ,

fun in Uncle Dan's bed,

giving lots of snuggles,

enjoying treats,

decorating trees over and over,

park time on a nice day and a game of freeze tag,

a few visits to West Gilgo Beach,
(The sand on the beach was so clean and smooth since the storm, it almost looked like a desert somewhere this day, the houses were ok with some flooding on the bottom floor, and they whole community is being run by a generator, no regular power, the roads are under construction and you had to show an ID to get to the beach house-but grateful it was still there!)

playing on the new dunes,

queen of the walker, she picked it up and carried it around while she was in it!

a cold day at West Gilgo Beach,

Ellie loves holding hands, so sweet, we had lots of fun with you Julie!

Together time! We missed daddy on this trip but we were so happy to get to be in New York with all of these great people we love so much. We have so much to be grateful for and all of these people are at the top of my list. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the opportunity to be together now and forever. Thank you so so much for another great trip Grammy, Poppy, and Hannah! You guys love us like no one else! We can't wait to see you again soon! We love you!
