mixed emotions

well it is a happy day and sad day. eric and i are off to las vegas tomorrow morning. scary. josh and katie are here to watch the girls for us (thanks so much guys). and the girls just love them.
they have been "performing" for them all day and trying to get their attention. i am not worried about them just sad that i will miss being with them. it is supposed to be a nice break and it will be but it is just sad. all you moms know what i mean. you always want a break but it is hard to leave these little sweeties.
the last few minutes together. i haven't cried yet, i have fought it back a few times but so far ok. good luck josh and katie. love you livy and rae rae and see you soon! be back on friday night.

weekend update

now that she is tall enough to get in and out of her chair by herself rachel loves sitting in it and sucking her thumb in her new backyard.
we just got some trees added to the corners, which are hard to see in this picture but they look nice. they moved the palm from the left corner to the center too.
we went to the pumpkin patch on sat morning. the girls had fun playing with the pumpkins. this is the only one we got both of them smiling. dont mind the random person in the background. but i think they look so cute! excited to finally have a cute pic of them together again. that i has been hard to come by lately.

our latest activities

these girls are always active and at 19 months always getting into something new. now they climb on everything and go to time out much more frequently. mostly for sitting or standing on the kitchen table.

but they think time out is a fun game. they sit in the corner and laugh and rachel says "bad girl" to herself. she was only called that one time (by eric-not to point fingers) and had not forgotten it. she uses it on eric too when needed. "bad girl daddy" (he left the bathroom door open last week and i told her to tell him that was bad) it was too funny.
we also love stickers. here livy is showing you her decorated legs. oh, and we eat them sometimes too!
strong as an ox. rachel weighs 25 lbs and the wheels on this wagon don't turn. she just drags her. or pulls the heavy laundry baskets around to help me. good girl livy.
and we love baby dolls. and real babies but since we wont have one of those for a while these will have to do.

we had visitors

my parents and sister came to visit 2 weeks ago. it was so much fun to have them here and to hang out. we ate a lot, pappasitos, and just hung out. it was great. hannah was a great babysitter and entertainer! both of the girls went right to their "person". rachel always is with grandpa and livy is always with grandma.

we have made it to blogging! i didn't know if i would ever make one but the more i look at everyone elses, the more i have to admit it is the best way to give those far away a glimpse of our world here. i love seeing everyone updates and what is going on day to day that you may otherwise never know about. i am going to try and stop being lazy and get myself to blog some what regularly so that my family and friends across the country can follow Livy and Rachel too. i know that i should have been doing this a long time ago so sorry mom that i haven't and you haven't gotten to see all that you could have all the way from new york. as most of you know, my family lives in ny and for living as far as we do we get to see each other a lot but i still want to be able to show them more. i have cousins all over the country and we are a pretty tight group so i want to share with them too. therefore that is why i finally got it together-for everyone out there-and of course for all of you here too! and so family and friends, and especially mom, now you can get your fix of the girls whenever you want. their latest conquests, talents, and troubles will be only a click away. we miss you all!
