A Weekend of Fun

In the beginning of December we headed to Ft. Worth with Eric for a business meeting he had. We had just planned on going up for the night but it turned into a fun weekend. Friday night we just hung around the hotel room while he was gone but the kids loved it, hotels are so exciting for them I guess!

They are right down there tiny at the bottom of this huge tree they had right near the hotel.

We decided the next morning to go to Great Wolf Lodge for a surprise for the kids....it was kind of a surprise to all of us though. I knew it was a water park with the hotel but I didn't know how much other stuff would be going on there too and that threw us for a little loop.

Eric got some of his favorite fast food, In & Out!

The water park didn't last long once Livy got her sights set on this Magiquest game they have going on throughout the hotel. She was thrilled to do it and loved every minute of looking for clues and going up and down the stairs with her magic wand.

Rachel was more into getting a stuffed animal wolf!

Ellie was just happy to be along for the ride! I think she was mad that she didn't get to pick an activity like the older kids because she decided not to sleep most of the night so that was awesome.

Colt chose to play in the arcade and this was these were his two favorites. Luckily he had Rachel there willing to teach him how to shoot bugs with a machine gun, hey, what are big sisters for!

Hard to see but it was snowing in the lobby during story time! So many fun things they have at this resort for kids.

Happy to finish her quest just before we had to leave! Eric did it with her for a few hours one day and I finished it up with her the last hour the next day. What a good dad you have Liv! He loved spending time with you and doing something you loved!

The car ride home was exciting too. We had those reindeer antlers on our car but Colt's window got opened while we were on the freeway driving home and whoops  there goes his antler. And he didn't take it very well, he had a major break down and we had to swipe Ellie's off her side to calm him down. I didn't remember to take the Rudolph nose off so we had that on the van all December. So if you saw the white van with only a Rudolph nose, that was us :)
