Rachel is officially a non-thumb sucker! It has been a little over a month now so I feel pretty safe saying she has kicked the habit! I know it was really scary and sad for her but she did so great! I am so proud of you Rachel! I had to remind her "You can do hard things!" and she did! It was really hard but she was awesome! She puts the "yuck", gross stop thumb sucking nail polish, on at night and doesn't complain about it at all. She actually reminds me to put it on. She sleeps great still and I think she is really proud of being able to do it! And we are so proud of you Rachel! You did awesome!! She tries a lot more things now when I tell her "you can do hard things, you stopped sucking your thumb and that was really hard." And now she is more willing to try things she didn't think she could do. Way to go honey!
She got to go to the store a pick out a toy that she had really been wanting so she was thrilled, her Zoe doll!

Way to go, Rachel!! We may need some tips for McKay. :)
why this post makes me tear up I have no idea!! ha. But we're so proud of you rachel, such a big girl. And such a tough accomplishment! and you're such a great mom jess, always reminding your kids how great they are and pushing them to do bigger and be better! they're so lucky to have you.
That's funny, I recently did a blog post about Gavin stopping his thumb sucking too, only he's 7 year old now! That's great that Rachel can stop before she start kindergarten. It is such a relief to me that Gavin doesn't do it anymore, I always worried that he was going to get to be an adult and still sucking that thumb!
