I got to take Colt to a birthday party at a fire station all by ourselves the other day! It was quite a treat to just be us two. He is so funny and sweet! He sprayed himself in the eye with sunscreen/bug spray on the way there so after a painful rinse out we got to have to some fun. And no, it is never a dull moment, even with just one!
He totally love the trucks and wasn't interested in anything else, just wanted to climb on them and look at them. They are pretty cool. I had a great time with you buddy! I love all my kids but it is awesome when you just get to listen and pay attention to one of them at a time! His imagination is taking off lately and it is so funny to be a part of. You're awesome Colt! I love you so much!
Colt is great at clearing the dishes from the table and carrying in the groceries in from the car. He is really a big help sometimes. And we will leave it at that! He has made great strides with Ellie, yay! He no longer is a danger to her and likes to play with her without pushing, hitting, poking, etc. It is awesome to see them play together and enjoy it again!
He has started using the word bazinga, as in, ha ha gottcha! Eric started quoting it from tv and now Colt uses it. Again, pretty funny to hear it coming from him! He actually uses it correctly sometimes and other times he uses it when he hears thunder! Always keeps us laughing!
He loves playing with the girls and they have been including him a little more recently. When he sees me coming to where they are playing or if Ellie is coming toward them he yells "Alert, alert!" It cracks me up every time. Apparently we are coming to ruin his fun time! He loves to yell at Eric when we are driving and have to cross over the rail road tracks, "no driving on the choo choo tracks, that not for cars that for trains."
When we saw a lizard sleeping out on the palm tree the other night I told him that is where the lizard is going to sleep tonight. Immediately he says "Where's his pillow?" So cute and funny Colt! I love hearing the things you say. This age is great for all the funny things that come out of their mouth!
This is his little frog he caught! It was so tiny and hard to see in here. And he's getting a head start on his sight words. He watches the videos with the girls and knows pretty much all of them on there. Smarty pants. In typical boy fashion he laughs and thinks its funny when he read "but." Hopefully I don't drop the ball and let him forget them all, those videos did a lot of hard work for me!! Got to love dvd players in the car!
