May and June

Where is the summer going? Same crazy scenario, days feel long and weeks go by quick? Who knows how it happens. There has been lots of fun for the kids and some make me want to lose my mind days, but we are making it through! Here are some pictures from in between things just around the house!
You can find Rachel playing Barbies or Polly Pockets every single day. I don't know that they actually do much once they get dressed but there is lots of dressing and undressing and redressing! Such a sweetie! Livy is still loving to play on the ipad and loves constructing things from tape and toilet paper!

It seems after every time I post something it changes. Rachel is now my easier go with the flow kid. I guess they all have their moments but she has changed herself this past month. She is very into helping out with Ellie and likes telling the other kids what to do!

You are getting so old and grownup! Slow down Rae!

Sorry you only have two pictures in this post buddy! Colt's been around and up to his usual antics! He is laying off Ellie a bit so that is great! Now he just likes to stop her from opening cabinets and other stuff she likes to do. Usually accompanied by a push or a pinch but for a good reason now, right?

She loves snuggling with her blankie! I love watching her grab it and rub her face in it like it is the best thing in the world! She will carry it around all day with her if I let her. Cutie pie. I am going to miss having a little one around. I can see how life will change in ways that sometimes let me sit and enjoy more but I will certainly miss having a 1 year old to carry around. She is so sweet, smushy, holds on my arm like a little monkey when I carry her on my hip, quick to smile, loves saying uh-oh, is funny, gets Colt back now, fast and into everything. But I do love the feeling of a little one, even though it is exhausting and non stop.

Ellie's birthday car and cart from Grammy and Poppy. She loves getting pulled around by everyone! Usually it looks like a clown car with two more kids hanging on top or stuffed in there!

They are all loving the water but honestly I try to avoid the pool when they are all awake. It is a little challenging with all of them. Ellie doesn't like to be in the water so much as she likes to climb in and out of the pool onto the sun shelf and walk from side to side on the sun shelf. She loves it but there is no relaxing going on. She never sits still!

Our awesome swimmers! Rachel and Livy are doing great swimming and continue to love to swim every day! They are ready to start kindergarten and I don't know that I'm ready!!

What is it about a baby? I'm just trying to savor this time before she turns into a kid I can get mad at! I know it sounds bad but there is just something different about a baby. They can all usually make me smile but there is no anger when it comes to babies. Whatever they do we accept it. I need to work on that with my grown up babies!

I was expecting this year would be hard to get through with all of them under school age, and it wasn't so bad until the past three months! I almost made it all the way until school started but the past three months have been a mental struggle for me. I am glad it is getting better again but there were days where I literally almost lost it! There are definitely days where I am ready to throw in the towel but the next morning I'm always glad I didn't! I don't want to harp on the rough times but just to remember it is not all ups. I'm just trying to remember that when we hit the downs, we do come up again! Yay!!
