I'm Losing My Memory So I Better Write This Stuff Down

Planting their "garden" with dad. Colt is way into it this year and is always asking to go out and check on the plants. He runs back in yelling so excitedly about how many tomatoes are growing and for me to come quick and see. I love how he wants me to see everything, even when I don't actually want to go out and see it is still so sweet that he wants me to see all that he does. Except when Livy and Rachel are around, then he drops me like a sack of potatoes. Tonight I asked him how his day was and if he had fun at his friends house. He said "Yes, but I not talking to you now, I talking to Livy."

Ellie calls all water animals sharks. She calls all bugs or lizards, spiders. Or as she says "piders."

His tone of voice, inflection, incorrect grammar, volume and facial expressions totally add so much more to all the things he says then they way they seem written here. Almost everything he says makes me laugh a little because of how it comes out of this kid. Love you Colt.

I'm writing what a punk you are Ellie next to a picture where you look so sweet so you might have a chance for some readers to not believe me! Boy is she a handful. I hope it is just the age but there is so much screaming and crying and whining coming out of this little lady lately I think I might lose my mind most days. She looks for me non stop in the house and calls mom while whining and screaming hundreds of times a day. (At least it feels like that many times a day!) She weighs 30 lbs. now and is not easy to lug around but that is the only time she is quiet. Poor Ellie, I am not trying to make you sound bad, just stating it how I feel it is! Sorry kid, I hope to report soon that you have calmed down a little! I still love you tons missy. You make me laugh and smile and now that you are sleeping I love thinking of how cute you are! (And you were pretty good today since we had visitors!)

She loves playing with her babies and you can rarely catch her anywhere now a days with out one. She is always putting them night night, changing their diapers and wiping them with real wipes!

I thought I posted pictures of this in December but I missed it somehow! Eric built this great playhouse for the kids while we were in New York for Thanksgiving. He is such a great job and totally surprised me with his building abilities! The kids love it and everytime a friend is over they are out there playing. Now with the nice weather they are always dragging buckets of toys out there to play house! Thanks daddy!

Ellie calls all candy, gum-except she can't say gum, she says dum. She points and says dum please, or more dum.
Some of her most frequent words start with "C" that she can't quite say yet, Colt=Tolt, cup=tup, car=tar.
She was calling the shower the potty but got it straightened out now!

Proud of her collection. She loves to do anything Colt is doing, she loves being a big kid!

When we were talking about Jesus dying on the cross Colt said "if I was there I would help Jesus wif Livy's whopper so he doesn't die."

When Colt really wants something he says "really please, really really please!"
He tells me stories a lot now about robots and sharks and anything else. Most of the time I don't understand most of it but I still love hearing him jabber on about it.
When I ask him to do something he doesn't want to do his go to excuse is "I tired" or "I cold."

Colt put his sneakers on by himself and I told him he is such a big boy. He responded, "Yeah, I'm a big boy now, I eat lots of food."

Taken in the dark so excuse the blur but I love to see them snuggled with each other from when they were scared at night.

Eric got a new work truck a few weeks ago.

Ellie loves wearing big people shoes, she usually puts on Livy's church shoes every time I say get in the car.

Poor guy, growing up with all these girls he has a few girly moments but I'm sure he will be just fine, just like his cousins Jake and Mark who grew up with all sisters too!
The other day I was painting the Ellie's nails and Colt asked for his to be painted and I told him no that boys don't wear nail polish except for boy kind (clear). He started crying and said "Boy nail polish is not beautiful and this one is beautiful!" It was blue, and he won and got it on his toes.
Colt tells them "I your best friend." When his Sunday school teacher told me she wanted to have Livy and Rae over to play with her girls Colt heard and said, "No, I want to play with them because them are my best friends." He also says caterpillars are his best friends.

Happy girl most of the time. Starting her terrible two's already though!
She says goodbye to everyone we see at stores or resturants or people walking by or ducks at the park. Lots of times and very loudly and tops it off with "see you later." And maybe blows a kiss.

Uses no as part of a two word sentence a lot. "No song" when I sing, "No some" when she doesn't want to share with me.

Helping me cook!
The other day he was using the bathroom before we were going in the car somewhere. He comes running out of the bathroom and cruising into the car while Eric and I stood watching and wondering why he had no underwear and pants on. He made it all the way into his car seat before he ran back in the house and yelled, "Where's my pants! Where's my pants!" As if someone had come and swiped them off of him suddenly. Eric and I had a good laugh!

When I ask him to take a nap because other wise he will be cranky he tells me "I won't take a nap, I be happy."

She is busy and trouble a lot lately but I love her to pieces and I know she is watched over and protected by Heavenly Father. She is tough as nails this kid and has no fear!

Thanks for the pretty smiles Rae! I love you sweetie!
