Life Around Here

Things have been going good still around here. The chaos is becoming more normal! The kids are all doing really well and loving Ellie so we haven't had any issues with that. I feel a little stir crazy sometimes because I don't want to take all of them out to the store and it is too hot for the park most of the time. So that is the hard part, trying to find something to do with all of them when she is awake. But they seem fine with just staying here and doing whatever. We do rely on tv more than I want to but for now that's ok. Overall it has been better than I thought, besides for all the sickness we have had around here.

The girls loving Ellie!

Watching Wipeout with dad. Colt absolutely loves this show and get so into it yelling at the tv and always saying "yuck, jump, uh oh, what happened."

The girls are big helpers getting the place cleaned up and trying to help with Ellie's clothes and diapers. Rachel always wants to pick her clothes out for her and get her changed out of her pjs! Rachel is very into wearing dresses now and necklaces with it. She is for sure our fancy girl!

I can't help wanting to take a picture every time she falls asleep! She looks so peaceful and adorable!

Tired me and energetic girls playing outside!

Colt up to his old shenanigans! He was putting beads on a pipe cleaner, which I am very impressed that he can do that, but I left the bucket of beads on the table for a minute and oops, there it went. He dumped it slowly onto the floor. It took us like 30 minutes to pick all of them up! I know it doesn't look like that many in the picture but they were every where! And he did have a separate plate he was getting beads from, don't think I would just give him the whole bucket, unfortunately I didn't put it far enough away, lesson learned.

This boy has a shoe fetish. He always has his shoes on in the house. Some times they are his and sometimes they are the girls. He loves playing with shoes and is always digging through the shoe bucket and leaving random ones all around.

Yes his mouth is blue. He was sucking on a blue marker while coloring with the girls. We made them a tent and they were making no Colt allowed signs.

Making their signs.

They each drew 5 signs and every time it was the same drawing. It is so funny how even though we would never guess that their signs meant no Colt allowed they each had a distinct idea of what that looked like and did it over and over again.

A few days before the 4th of July we started another sick journey. Rachel started with a cough and cold and then was puking on the 4th and 5th. From there they all got the cold and cough, 4 kids with ear infections, one swimmers, one fever, one night of diarrhea every hour, and two with strep. Everyone is on an antibiotic and we are hoping for the best! Now that we are on the mend we are hoping to stay healthy for our trip to New York. The sickness has not helped with the stir craziness but luckily the kids weren't really cranky while sick. They never complained about ears or throats so I didn't know they felt so bad. Poor kids. Colt was the only one who got cranky and clingy. And trying to keep the sick one away from the others and all away from Ellie was the hardest part. It didn't work anyway since they all got sick! So glad to be on the mend!

Oh I jinxed us when I wrote this. Not on the mend, back to puking!!!  Ahhhhh!!!

Jess your little family is so sweet. I love all your pictures. I love that Colt likes Wipeout. Madeline likes it to. She always asks me to put on the water show so she can see the people fall. Such funny kids.
