This post is long overdue and I don't want to forget all the fun, crazy, frustrating, silly, sweet, and awesome things that this little girl does! She is 17 months old now and a bundle of energy and no fear.
Ellie
Ellie Bellie
Elle Belle
Belle
Belski
That is the nick name train. That is how she got her nick name Belski-which is from Eric. But it is hysterical when Colt uses it and says "no Belski" or whatever other thing he is telling her. She thinks it is her belly button, when we say it she picks up her shirt and points there!
She is always into something, and gets hurt a lot, but she is tough so it usually doesn't phase her too much. She is very busy and loves to do things over and over again that she shouldn't-and laugh about it because she knows it too.
I went to the bathroom for a minute and I came back to find her chowing down on the couch with two buckets of freeze dried fruit. She thinks she can do anything everyone else can do. She loves being outside, running away from me when I call her, the trampoline, coloring on herself with markers, dancing, music, babies, animals, the bathtub, screaming and candy. Trying to wrangle her for diaper or dressing time is hard some time because she just likes to laugh and try and get away.
Her favorite foods are cheese, spaghetti, pizza, hot dogs, blue berries, fruit snacks, ice pops and ketchup. When she wants to eat something she sees she says num num num num, which makes me smile every time.
She loves doing whatever the older kids are doing and loves being included. She knows whats going on and how things work even though she can't speak much yet. If I take out a baking tray she tries to push a button on the oven and open it, if I put on running shorts in my closet she runs to get my running shoes and brings them to me, if I am doing the dishes she gets out the dish detergent and tries to put it in.
She loves dressing up in stuff, especially when the girls have ballet.
She still loves purses and bags and babies. She is always carrying around a few purses with junk and saying baby.
Now she says, dah for dog, baby, mommy, dada, wivy for livy and rachel, pubuls for Pebbles, hi, bye bye, sss for shoes, psi for paci, cheese for food and for the camera, teese for teeth. She also uses uh-oh, wow, whoa and shakes her head yes and no at the right times. I'm sure there are a few more but mostly the poor kid just can't get it out. I know she is frustrated and I can't wait for her to be able to tell me more what she wants. She does lots of communicating with her eyes which is so cute. Overall she is pretty happy when she is not sick or teething so I guess we do ok understanding what she wants!
At 15 months she was 32.25 inches (95 percentile) and 27.8 lbs. (99 percentile). She is a big happy healthy sweet girl and we love her so much. I can't believe the actual little girl she is becoming so quickly and the baby she is not any more. She has to wear 3T shirts now to cover her long torso. In her pants she is 18-24 months but the tops are just too short for her all the time!
She loves to snuggle with her paci and blankey still and wants to drag her blankey around all day.
Pushing her baby and being the baby. It is good entertainment-the girls take turns pushing her around the house in it.
She still loves Pebbles. She loves feeding her food from her high chair, getting into Pebbles food every chance she gets, playing in her cage, and eating her treats when she gets a hold of them.
She likes to climb out of her highchair every chance she gets, even when she has her straps on sometimes. We say she is the highchair Houdini because she gets out of all the straps on every highchair at all the restaurants.
She loves bath time and her eyes are hazel green like Eric's and sometimes look blue depending on what she wears but mostly green. What a cutie! She fell and knocked one of her teeth back up into her gums the other day so we are just waiting to see if it turns gray. At least she didn't crack it right? The babysitter says she is fearless, and don't I know it!
We all love you so much Ellie! You are a ball full of energy and happiness and we are so happy you are in our family!
