At school they had a reading program where the kids had a certain number of books to read and take quizzes on each one in order to earn their "star reader." They also had to do this in their extra time at school after their other work was done, the quizzes couldn't be taken hat home. For first grade the number was 100 and Livy got her star reader in April. She was determined and would read and take quizzes whenever she could at school even skipping recess sometimes. I am so proud of you Livy! Of your determination, hard work and sacrifice! You are such a strong girl and I am so happy you set your mind to it and did it!
Big day! She even came home with a sweater on with her start reader shirt on under neath and surprised me! What a great surprise!
Her math fact certificate.
The girls had to do a float project on a scene from their favorite book. They were so into this and wanted to get it done the very first day. I love seeing their enthusiasm about school stuff because normal homework doesn't get the same enthusiasm! The projects came out so cute!
