May flew by too. The girls were finishing up kindergarten and Colt and Ellie were finishing up swim lessons.
This little girl is always happy to have a baby with her and usually has a cut up knee too! As soon as it heals she cuts it again, poor kid. She is talking more and more these days. She calls her bathing suit her "soup." "My soup, my soup!"
Colt is my buddy. He loves hanging on me and laying on my squishy belly, it is his favorite. He also likes to give me a hard time about getting dressed and all the other things we have to do on a daily basis! He is great when we have something to go do but I guess he is a little bored with the regular stuff, same here buddy!
Ellie started swim lesson in the beginning of may and they went together three days a week the whole month and did great. Ellie had a little crying but she was so happy to get to go into the water with Colt and be a big kid!
One day of lessons with cousin McKay!
Best Buddies!
We went to eat at Hooks Airport with the kids after swim lessons and they were pretty happy to watch the planes and throw stuff into the little lake there!
Colt is never happier then when Rachel and Livy include him in whatever they are doing!
Being the big brother and helping out the little one! Colt told me he doesn't want his teeth to fall out or they will have to give him glass teeth and he doesn't want glass teeth! Rachel corrected him saying that glass teeth would break too easily so they don't give glass teeth but they do give metal teeth! Oh man, their conversations crack me up!
Every night they ask to play tag in the front yard for a little. Livy's the fastest, Rachel quits when she can't catch Livy, Livy slows down and lets everyone tag her, and Ellie just runs around and screams!
We took another trip to Galveston, Eric had to go with the youth from church so we tagged along and it was great. They kids were so happy to be playing at the beach and got along great. They didn't want to leave and there was no fighting, I don't know what could be better than that!
Colt finally fits in his Northeast Builders shirt from Matt's mom, Mary Ellen! It is perfect and he loves it! He said now he can be like Fix it Felix and work with Poppy! The other day he got it wet and I told him we had to change it and he wasn't happy, "ohhhhhh man, now I can't work with poppy today."
Visiting the library, I have a picture of the girls when they were little on this same Clifford!
Ahh, the joy of being included by your big sisters!
This kid cracks me up. Whether he is talking a lot or a little I love hearing what he is observing and thinking of. Driving the other day we were going somewhere that McKay was going to be and he starts telling me, "McKay's car is white so I have to look for a white car, and there are so many white cars around." I just have so much stuff going on in my head all the time I love to hear what he or any of them are thinking of. I didn't ask him to look for McKay's car, we were just driving and he was watching a movie and that is all I thought he was thinking of, then he said that. So fun to hear what that brain of his is doing! Another day we saw a lady with blond hair like Jamie's. He said, "There's McKay's mommy!" I told him no thats not Jamie, he said "why she has her hair then?" Always something to smile about!
Kindergarten put on a play called "Bugz" and the girls both got to be lady bugs! They each had a speaking part which the nailed, way to go girls, and they sang a bunch of songs. All of the lady bugs sang one song together which was really cute.
My cute lady bugs! I love you girls!
Livy is super into science experiments these past few months and has brought home many books on science experiments home from the library at school. Rachel is a sleep walker. I have found her three times but it has seemed to have taken a break the past few weeks so I'm hoping it was just a fluke because it is dangerous and a little bit creepy!
Rachel has been wanting to learn to do a cart wheel and I haven't been successful in teaching her so the girls went to a one night cartwheel camp at a gymnastic place to learn a little more. Rachel had an awesome time and loved being in the gym and doing everything, and she even improved her cartwheel! Livy had fun but got a little scared because it was dark out and she wasn't sure when we were coming back to get her, poor kid.
Another Galveston trip with the same happy results, fun time, no fighting, happy kids, tired kids, happy us!
There is still lots of bug catching going on around here and Colt has caught lots of baby frogs here lately. He is out there all the time on the hunt.
Ellie trying to get in on the action.
So cute how she wants to help all the time now, growing up too fast!
Rachel and her baby watching the ducks. She practices being a mom a lot and it is adorable to see her care for the baby so sweetly.
Livy taking care of her baby sis.
For a homework assignment near Mother's day, one of the questions said "I love when mom cooks________ for dinner." Livy trying to answer the question asks, "does this have to be the truth?" I think I need some cooking lessons!
Pooped after a play date at the jump house place with his friend Caroline!
Some serious painting work going on here.
