The first day of Kindergarten went great over here! They were very excited to have a new shirt and sneakers! (that was the extent of our shopping) Colt wanted to go to school too and it took him a few days to stop asking if he could go too. The girls were very excited and didn't seem nervous until we got there. The night before Eric gave them father's blessings and they both enjoyed getting that special blessing and comfort from dad. Colt also enjoyed getting one!
My kindergartners! I really can't believe it but they are in school, it is totally weird for me to think of myself as someone with kids in school but they were really ready for it.
Getting sick of my pictures, they just wanted to go! And I was nervous and going crazy and wish I would have gotten some better pictures but this is what we have!
The gang all lined up for the first day!
Ms. Ford's class, here we come!
Hannah helped them feel not so nervous since she's been doing it for years now!
Rachel asked me to stay and was a little timid at first but did awesome, she was so brave! Way to go Rachel!
Livy couldn't wait to get started and certainly didn't have time to look up for a picture! I'm so happy you are so happy Livy, so proud of you!
Mommas last pictures, hanging on as long as I could...
A quick peek in the room from outside the door, Rachel checked for me for a minute and then got into her work while Livy didn't even notice I left!
I only had a few tears this day and I was so happy that they were ok. I had to avoid talking about it with people or I would start crying, especially my mom! I am so excited for them and to see how they grow and learn this year. They will do so amazing and they are truly wonderful girls. I love you Rachel and Livy, I hope you know how special you are to us. They came home and reported that it was a little boring but they guessed they would go back the next day! I had to laugh, such funny expectations they have! Two weeks in and I am glad to report that they both totally love it! They are excited to go every day and say they have the best teacher ever! I love hearing about their day and seeing what happened and luckily so far they have loved talking about it. There are already crushes going on, yikes. Poor Colt constantly yells "I have to talk" now because he doesn't get to talk as much once they get home, I have to make a special effort to try and ask about his day too now!
