Rachel and Olivia got to go on a special trip to New York a week before the rest of us! Michelle came and picked them up for me in Houston and turned right around and flew back with them. The girls were so very excited to go without the rest of us, kinda of sad for me that they didn't want us there but I got over it as I enjoyed a week of only half the chaos! Thanks so much Michelle and Mom for this awesome week, we all loved it!
They had tons of fun playing with Hannah and all the many toys at Grammy's house without any interruption from Colt or Ellie.
There was lots of swimming and fun trips around town to the beach. And best of all, lots of time with Grammy, Poppy, Hannah and Dan all by themselves!
They got to meet their new cousin Cora and were so attached! Every time they come over they girls are following baby Cora around and hanging out with her every feeding.
Aunts and uncles, campfires, pizza, friends, sleepovers on Grammy's floor, crafts, splash pad, and so many more fun things. You sure are lucky girls! A lot of my extended family started coming into town this week for our family reunion so there where always people around and fun stuff to do.
Rachel had lots of fun hanging out with her friend Darriel before he left on his mission! He is such a fun babysitter for them!
Painting shells was a big craft for both of them and Livy spent a long time wrapping each one and writing everyones name on one. What a sweetie!
Thank you for such a great week and special treat of coming early Grammy and Poppy. We are so lucky to have such family. We really love you guys and everyone for helping out .
The next week Colt, Ellie, and I came to visit and there will be more on that to come!
Our first attempt to get to New York was on a day that they had severe thunderstorms in New York and JFK was closed for a while so after waiting 5 hours we decided to call it quits and try it again the next day. Luckily the next day had no delays and went as good as it could have!
