Colt is 1 and New York

We went to New York for Thanksgiving and had a great trip visiting, hanging out and eating. While we were there we had Colt's 1st birthday party, planned by the lovely Aunt Hannah! It was a great party and Colt loved his cake as you will see.
The birthday boy! He's one but he's still my baby, for now anyway.

Danny enjoying the rounds of "Happy Birthday" being sung.

The birthday boy and the party planner. Everyone was assigned a job but I think she ended up doing it all! What a great aunt! Thanks so much Hannah!

Testing out his no egg or nut cake!

The good stuff! He mostly picked at the frosting in the beginning but then got into it. We all had fun sitting there watching him mash it all over. I don't think he actually ate any though. By the end he was totally in a daze and he looked like he was gonna fall right over to sleep in the cake. We waited to see if it would happen but it didn't! Would have been funny though!

Pinata time!

Colt loving the tree. He wouldn't touch it at first but he is past that now. He goes and grabs it and shakes it all over. No ornaments on the bottom third of our tree.

The girls had fun decorating the tree, going to a play place, picking out a new puppy, and going bowling twice. They loved it. Eric and I had lots of fun enjoying free time sleeping and eating the best pizza on earth!
The day we were leaving Livy got a bladder infection but luckily we got her on medicine quickly so she was ok pretty quick. Not one picture of grandma again. She's always behind the camera. But she was a huge help as always with all the kids. Even letting the girls sleep in her room and getting peed on one night in bed! Thanks mom and dad for a great trip.

The swings are at max capacity. Dan on one, Hannah holding Colt on two, and Rachel and Livy sharing the third. We were trying to come up with new ways to hang the swings so we can fit more in this room for when there are more grand kids!

Colt enjoying his first laundry basket ride from Aunt Katie. Josh and Katie are now living at their new house. It was nice to have the basement to stay in while we were there but it's weird not having them there all the time. We missed you guys!

These pictures were taken before New York, and before they all got hair cuts. I just never got them up here.
Even though Colt is not smiling I love how the girls are so happy. I love you three. Really really do.

This brought me to tears. I didn't realize how big Danny is now. I guess i like to think that he's still the same 12 year old I left. I need to go back there sometime. I miss that sweet boy. Also, I can't believe Colt is one already! Oh how time flies!
