Well it's happened again. I have fallen kinda far behind on my blogging. Here are some more pictures from our trip to NY. When my parents flew here to pick up Hannah we all decided to go back with them for two weeks. We of course had an awesome time and I got totally spoiled. I basically only took care of Colt while we were there and mom took care of the girls! I got lots of naps but Colt and I got nasty colds too so all the help was great!

As always the girls had lots of fun with Hannie and loved all the attention they got from everyone. And all the new toys from Grammy!

Danny even paid attention to the girls this time. Normally he kind of ignores them but this time he was trying to hold their hands. Rachel has always loved Danny and Livy has always been a little scared of Dan. She was finally getting comfortable with him and he pulled her hand and pulled her right off of a chair. That was the end of that! Maybe next trip!

All bundled up for their first real experience in the snow! They loved making snow angels and throwing snow balls.

Aunt Hannah became a pro at holding Colt and walking around. Quite the good helper when you need a hand. And you gotta love his old man hair, baldness on top and long on the bottom, he has going on!

The one picture that Grammy was in! They sure love their Grammy and Poppy. Livy is continually still saying she wants to go back to Grammy's house, or that ducky wants to go back. She is my moms buddy while they are there. She doesn't barely talk to me which kind of makes me sad but so happy to see she loves her Grammy so much.

Colt and Grandma Ede. The girls had fun playing at Grandma Ede's house. I love that my girls have spent enough time with my Grandmas to be comfortable with them too.

On the girls actual 3rd birthday. We took a train ride and then came home for their italian ices with candles instead of cake. Tina didn't like that so she made them the best train cake ever! Check below. This was their third party so I thought it was acceptable, there's always next year!

The gang. Erin flew in from Oklahoma to hang with everyone for a few days and then help me and the kids fly back to Texas. Thanks so much Erin! Couldn't have done it without you!

The best cake ever!! Tina and Ian made the girls a train cake for their birthday. They loved it loved it loved it! Livy was so excited about this cake she couldn't take a nap. It was awesome. Thanks so much Tina and Ian. Brother Ian.

Thanks everyone for an awesome trip. Mom and Dad for having us invade and for all of the help. Hannie for sharing all your stuff with the girls and giving me your room! Katie and Josh for great food and desserts and all the kiddo entertaining. Tina for the great cake. Erin for being my sequence partner and all the help home with the kids. It was so good to see Grandma and Aunts and Uncles too. I had so much fun and really miss not being near everyone. I love you all I'm so glad we had this together. Until next time!

Colt, 2 and 3 months

I realize it's a little late to post about Colt being 2 months old considering he is 3 months old now but better late than never. These pictures are from last month. At his 2 month check up he was 13 lbs. 5 oz. (90-95%), 23 1/4 inches long (50-75%), and his head was only 39 3/4 cm (25-50%)!

Now at 3 months. I finally got some more smiles on camera but I had to shoot them not looking through the camera, sneaking the pictures, so some of them are cut off a bit or not great angles. But they are great smiles! I just can't get enough of his smiles. He smiles a ton for me and has started makng more sounds now. He started laughing a bit this week and is trying to suck his thumb. It is in his mouth a lot but it's not a full on suck yet.

 

He seems to be getting bigger quickly and I am anxious to see how much he weighs now. He did awesome on his first flight to NY. He slept the whole time both ways. He hates to be put down and gets held all day long while he is awake. Thankfully he likes the baby bjorn carrier. Still doesn't like the carseat much either. In NY he actually sat in the swing for a bit but not in TX. He spits up a ton and is on reflux medicine now which only seems to help some days. But he is so adorable and so sweet. The girls have nick named him Colty and little buddy.

Everyone tells me he looks just like Eric. It's hard for me to tell because to me he just looks like himself.

I love love love him to pieces and I am so happy to have him here with us. They girls love him and always ask if he is ok. This week I was nursing him and Rachel was sitting next to me on the side he was nursing from. She learned how to do "cheers" (tapping your cup together) from Aunt Cass. She has been carrying a baby bottle around and pretending to be a baby so she tapped the bottle to my boob and said "Cheers Colt!" Always entertaining around here!

Rachel and Livy are 3!

I can't believe my little girls are three already! We had their party two weeks early because my parents were in town. The day started out frosting cupcakes or eating frosting, which ever way you see it! Some pictures from the day, didn't get them in order but you get the idea.
